Main Objective of the Job:

Business development managers play a crucial role in the success of an organization. These professionals generate new sales leads, negotiate client pricing, and forecast sales revenue to support one of the most important business development manager responsibilities — helping organizations maximize their profits.

What You Need

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing business development activities entailing mapping of new market segments.
  • Management of new opportunities, including routine contact i.e., discern service concerns, forecast future activity, expand service offering, and explore new opportunities within existing clients/new clients.
  • Manage Revenue Target for the Domestic market
  • Managing a team of market research, business research, Database building & management, business opportunity analysis, Lead generation etc.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering short- and long-term strategic business goals. Strategy development, Planning and Reporting
  • Prepare overall marketing strategy together with partners, practice group leaders and senior business management
  • Analyses market trends and recommend changes to market and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
  • Prepare and manage the overall marketing and business development budget Relationship Management
  • Identify, analyse, pursue and report on business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
  • Develop and enhance business relationships fostering existing and new businesses and heightening awareness of the Group Management and Leadership
  • Build and maintain a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching of staff
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritize work and balance strategic and tactical issues.
  • Establish appropriate remuneration levels and performance-based conditions for the business development team
  • Providing clear monthly performance reports, and collaborating with a range of people outside the Development Team to gather business intelligence.

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Should have at least 10-15 years of experience with a track record of developing Comprehensive marketing, sales, and business development strategies.
  • Should have experience in Domestic and/or international markets.
  • Experience working in a project-based environment.
  • Experience in identifying and exploring New Geographies and verticals.
  • Experience in developing New Channels.
  • Experience in Client Management and client relationship.

Knowledge:

  • Project management knowledge/experience.
  • Should have prior experience in managing large teams of Sales, Presales & Direct Marketing.
  • Should have the ability to clinch large deals and chase a revenue target.
  • Domestic & International Market knowledge.
  • Knowledge of commercial practice and industry standards.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Pleasing personality
  • Excellent in good decision-making..
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure yet deliver on time, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
